BIOGAS AND HUMIC ACIDS

The natural additive

The humic acid-based additive
for biogas plants

As an expert in humic acids, GITES also offers sustainable solutions in the field of biogas. The addition of a process additive based on humic acid to the fermenter at a biogas plant serves to increase process stability and substrate utilisation. The product acts as a natural chelator in the fermenter and contains natural trace elements that are ideal for microbial decomposition.

The decomposition of organic matter is optimised and primarily leads to increased gas production and improved methane quality. By economising when feeding the facility, fermentation residues are reduced and refined through the use of humic acid-based products. Improved viscosity of the fermentation substrate protects the technical systems in biogas plants. This reduces expenditure on energy and expensive repairs.

Effects for biogas facility operators:

  • Reduction of floating layers and improved viscosity

  • Higher gas yield

  • Reduction of the fermentation substrate and the use of trace elements
